Ida Ross (Swift) Hicks graduated from Darlington School in Rome, GA and Hollins University in Roanoke, VA. She studied abroad during this period in Spain and Italy. After graduation she worked in the Washington, D.C. office of Senator Jeff Sessions for three years where she witnessed impeachment proceedings against President Bill Clinton, the September 11th attack on the Pentagon, endured the anthrax scare and the Washington sniper shootings.
She has worked at Swift Supply for the past 11 years where she is a stockholder and a member of the Board of Directors. She was elected President by the board in January 2015. She is the past-chair of the North Baldwin Infirmary Hospital Gala event and served as a board member of Baldwin United. She presently serves as Chair of Construction Suppliers Association and is a member of the United Bank Advisory Board. She is a member of the Junior Auxiliary of the Eastern Shore.
Ida Ross is married to attorney Brad Hicks, a partner with the Stone Granade law firm.
They live in old Daphne with children Jack, age 9, Amelia, age 6 and Jane Stewart, age 2. She enjoys traveling and all activities with her family including many soccer matches, baseball and basketball games. She is especially happy these days to have the new BisTrack computer conversion done.
