James was born in Maplesville, AL in 1958. His family owned and operated a veneer mill in the Maplesville area. James was active in athletics at Maplesville High School where he played both football and baseball which led him to his baseball scholarship at Faulkner State in Bay Minette. While going to school James took a job at Material Sales in Spanish Fort where over a period of 11 years he worked his way up from the yard to being the store manager. This began his career in the building supply industry. From there he moved to NFL Building Center as an outside salesman for 13 years. In October of 2003 James made the decision to join the Swift Supply team at the newly opened Daphne location bringing with him a wealth of knowledge and experience as well as a loyal customer base. James has lived in Daphne over 25 years and has been married to Tammie Taylor for 25 years. Together they have a son James Malcolm Taylor II who is attending Faulkner State.
James has always been active in the community coaching little league baseball and volunteering on the Dixie Youth Board of Directors. He is an avid hunter and anyone who knows James knows he loves to bow hunt.
James and Tammie are looking forward to the arrival of their first Grandson Bentley James Taylor sometime in October.
Thanks James for all your passion, caring and dedication. We truly value your professionalism and drive to be the best. We are so glad you are part of our team.
