Employee Spotlight-Elsie Butler
Elsie Nall Butler is an Atmore native and like most Atmore teenagers vowed to leave Atmore and never come back. After a few years of living in Auburn and Mobile, she returned to Amore in 1977 when she came to work at Swift Lumber as the company secretary for both Swift Lumber and Swift Supply. In 1986 she was promoted to Credit Manager for Swift Supply.
Over the years, Elsie has been associated with various civic organizations in the Atmore area including Leadership Atmore, Escambia County Habitat for Humanity (Past Secretary), Chamber of Commerce (Past President), and the Atmore Rotary Club. She is also the recipient of the Rotary Club’s “Service Above Self Award” and the “Paul Harris Fellow” recognition. Elsie is a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Atmore.
Elsie is a graduate of Faulkner State Junior College and the University of Mobile. Her hobbies include photography, working in the yard and spoiling her two grandchildren.
